Our Team

Our team is diverse and has an interdisciplinary educational background. We represent the unique combination of ASU students and community members collaborating for social good. We first met at the Hacks4Humanity hackathon, and we won the first place prize by creating the working prototype of ARKHumanity.


Jordan Bates Co-Founder + Team Leader

PhD student in Applied Mathematics for the Life and Social Sciences. Graduate Research Associate with the Center for Policy Informatics. Data Science for Social Good Fellow. B.S. Computer Science, Purdue University.

Kacie McCollum Co-Founder

Doctoral Chair for the School of Advanced Studies at the College of Humanities and Sciences, the University of Phoenix. CEO, Shiny Bird Farms. Ed.D., STEP/ Curriculum Design and Instruction, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA.

Pat Pataranutaporn Co-Founder

Honor student at College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and a researcher at Swette Center for Environmental Biotechnology, Biodesign Institute, Arizona State University and a member of gifted young scientist society of Thailand (JSTP).

Bin Hong Lee Co-Founder

Undergraduate student with concentration in Software Engineering. Robot Design Judge - First Lego League 2014 series (Central Phoenix qualifying and Arizona State Championship)Ex-member of Global Shapers Community George Town Penang

Ram Polur Co-Founder

Epidemiologist at Office of Cancer Prevention and Control at AZ Department of Health Services. Ram has a MPH with major in Epidemiology and minor in Biostatistics, and BS major in Biology, minor in Biochemistry and BS major in Computer Science and minor in Applied Physics.
